Warm-Weather Music: West Coast Latin Soul
The Pazific (pronounced just like the Pacific Ocean) is an 8-piece band led by Seattle-based duo Alex and Jefferson Rose. Much of their music is influenced by Alex's Mexican heritage and California upbringing, and Jefferson's time living and making music in Latin America and Spain.
Their debut release, The Fusión EP is a wave of Seattle sound, blending the spirit of the West Coast with inspiration from around the world. With songs in English and Spanish, The Pazific’s Latin pop and soul hit home, while their nomadic influences take you on unexpected journeys.
Their current live show lineup includes:
Alex Rose - Vocals and Percussion
Jefferson Rose - Bass and Backup Vocals
Nia Neal - Drums
Lalo Bello - Percussion
Sam Damage - Guitar
Jane Covert-Bowlds - Saxophone
Graham Cornwell - Trumpet
Brandon Hunter - Trombone
One thing is guaranteed with all The Pazific’s musical collaborators: they play with their hearts and get the crowd moving.
The Pazific also often works with filmmakers, dancers, visual artists, poets, and photographers, with the explicit goal of using music as a connection point to create powerful, unexpected artistic collaborations.
